NYU Tisch West Alumni Council Presents the Tisch West Cinema Club Screening Series
A monthly, members-only screening series that seeks to promote films by NYU graduates working in the entertainment industry on the West Coast by showcasing their work and providing audience Q & A and a reception at the renowned AFI Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Driven by a clever script and fine performances, SMART PEOPLE is set in the land of academia, a place where both Lawrence (Dennis Quaid) and Vanessa (Ellen Page) have taken refuge and plunged themselves into as escape from the external world. Edward Rugoff - In addition to his work as Executive Producer on SMART PEOPLE, Ed wears many hats in the film industry. His body of work includes Mannequin and Mannequin: On the Move (Writer and Executive Producer), Mr. Nanny (Writer), Double Take (Writer) and the documentary Startup.com (Associate Producer). A member of the Tisch West Alumni Council, Ed earned his MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television.
