Drama Class Notes

The following is a list of what just some of our graduates have been doing.  If you would like to let your fellow alumni know what you've been up to, be sure to submit your own class note to be published on the web and in the Tisch Newsletter.

Jamie Sneider Drama
A graduate of Undergraduate Drama (ETW studio), Jamie has published a humorous and sexy Jewish calendar titled, The Year of the Jewish Woman. The calendar features over 60 images. For more information, visit
David Chack 1978 Drama

A faculty member in Northwestern University Theatre and Jewish Studies Department and a Chicago-based Jewish theatre director and cultural critic, was named to a two-year term as President of the Association for Jewish Theatre.
Julius Galacki 1983 Drama

Julius Galacki just completed directing a 35 minute short film, All Things Chicken, based on the play of the same name.  Also, his short play, Processing in the Park, was produced at the Electric Lodge in Venice, CA in April and the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June of 2013.  Finally, another short A Man of No Importance, on April 11, 2013 was the featured 10 minute play at the Atlantic Stage's Festival of New Plays, and was directed by Marj Mitchell.

Founder of site-specific theater company Peculiar Works Project; now serves as co-director. Celebrated its 15-year anniversary with first Obie Award in 2007 for performances exploring the birth of Off Off Broadway. 

topRicharda Abrams 1986 Drama

An active member on the board of the School’s newly-formed Tisch East Alumni Council and is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio. She appeared in the finale of the Nationwide Grassroots 365 Festival, 365 Days/365 Plays by Suzan-Lori Parks, presented by The Public Theater. Richarda also played “Sharon Jackson” in Pap Smear, directed by 86 Jennifer Vermont-Davis (MFA, Directing). Richarda is currently working on her one person show and is writing a documentary narrative.

Jeff Gardner  1986 Drama
Working in the New York theatre for more than 25 years. He is currently producing the new Broadway-bound musical Grumpy Old Men: The Musical, starring Christopher Lloyd. You can hear sample music tracks from the show at  As an actor, Mr. Gardner has appeared in numerous Broadway shows, such as The Queen and the Rebels; The Wild Party; The Scarlet Pimpernel, Cryano: The Musical and Jerome Robbins Broadway
Megan Hauser 1987 Drama

Lives and works in home-town of Colorado Springs as a Trainer and Technical Writer at Premiere Global Services. Develop and sell web and tele- conferencing products, as well as other business collaboration and communications software.

Mary Saliba 1987 Drama

Recieved MFA in creative writing at Emerson College; Worked as Editor in Chief of Granite State News and was founding editor of the Baysider, both in New Hampshire; Published poetry and fiction in small press publications; currently working on a memoir.

Susan Murphy  1989 Drama

Works as an actor, singer, writer and teacher.  Her most recent work is her original music-theatre piece entitled Girl/Group: A Daughter's Tale.  The piece is being workshopped in NYC and developed into a screenplay. It features the Susan’s own songs, as well as recreations of the original recordings made by the Carmelettes and the Kittens throughout the doo-wop and Brill Building eras.

topMarguerite Stimpson  1992 Drama

Appeared in the Broadway production of Butley as well as Transfigures at the Women's Project. She has performed regionally at such theatres as the Goodman, the Shakespeare Theatre of D.C., the Huntington and American Repertory Theater, as well as appearing on As the World Turns and Ed.  She is married to actor Gerardo Rodriguez.

Chris Bernier 1993 Drama

Chris Bernier served as lighting designer for Crumbs from the Table of Joy at Burning Coal Theatre Company.

Michelle Theresa Reynoso 1993 Drama

Carole Pierson Hallundbaek 1993 Drama

Newest book is entitled Saints in Love (Crossroad Publishing Company). Carole received a graduate degree from Fordham in theology. She has been a writer, producer and on-air commentator for the national media on matters of faith and spirituality. Saints in Love has been nominated for a Christopher Award.

Melanie Martinez 1994 Drama

Actor in NYC. She was the original host of PBS Kids Sprout's, "The Goodnight Show," until her controversial firing in 2006. She can regularly be seen on television and in print ads for various commercial campaigns.
Sherrie Fell 1995 Drama
Sherrie Fell, a New York filmmaker, and Paul Adzic, an Australian film maker have decided to combine their unique styles and create Fortune Films, a film house that provides Editing, Film Directing and Still Photography for a wide variety of projects.
Emily Johnson 1995 Drama

Currently working in Los Angeles doing film and commercials. Emily is also developing 2 features with prominent production companies; She's starring in the adapted novel THE FIRST THING AND THE LAST and an ensemble cop drama with fellow alum Donny Epstein.

Mina Morita 1996 Drama

Selected for Berkeley Repertory Theatre's Bret C. Harte Directing Internship where she will be Assistant Director for several shows during the 08-09 Season. Mina is also serving on the Board of Directors for Shotgun Players.

Hillary Fogelson 1998 Drama

Hillary's memoir, Pale Girl SPEAKS: A Year Uncovered hit the LA Times bestseller list. She is currently working on expanding the Pale Girl brand as well as writing her first screenplay.
Carrie Goddard  1998 Drama

Stephanie Sanditz 1999 Drama
Stephanie won all access award at the Tribeca Film Festival for her screenplay CREVECOEUR, MO which she is set to star opposite Virginia Madsen.

Jessica Perlmeter Cochrane 2000 Drama
Jessica Perlmeter Cochrane is the Associate Company Manager at Lincoln Center Theater currently home to the 7 time TONY Award winning revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC. 
Melanie Breaux 2000 Drama

Melanie Breaux's debut thriller novel, The Puppeteer, was published in October. The book centers around a University of Pennsylvania law student who witnesses the murder of her best friend. Melanie penned the first draft of the novel while a student at Penn Law. She is thrilled that the book is doing very well and getting great reviews.
Donya Washington 2000 Drama

Will receive her MFA in Directing from the Brown University/Trinity Repertory Consortium in May 2008 and move back to the lovely city of New York.

Currently line producing a feature documentary entitled Playground, which investigates commercial sexual exploitation of children in the U.S. 

Jessie Gallogly 2001 Drama
Recently directed the Washington DC premiere of "Neglect", a play written by Sharyn Rothstein (NYU MFA in Playwriting 2008) at Journeymen Theater.
Christopher Gallego 2002 Drama

In December of last year Christopher and his wife Jennifer welcomed their first baby into the world, Madeline Alexandra.  She has already started working on her Tisch audition material.Christopher recently co-starred as Jake Gleason in the Emmy Award winning series ER.
Marc Cittadino 2002 Drama

Won a 2007 Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award for Outstanding Broadband Program - Drama for his work as a producer on Satacracy 88 ( The Program was also awarded the “People’s Voice Award” for Online Film and Video at the Webby Awards.

Milan Cronovich 2003 Drama

Milan just completed a 6-month performance run in Lovelace: A Rock Opera playing at The Hayworth Theatre in Los Angeles. The production was awarded 3 LA Weekly Theatre Awards on March 30th, 2009 for Best Direction of a Musical (Ken Sawyer), Best Performance in a Musical (Katrina Lenk) and Best Ensemble in a Musical.

Since graduating, Jeffrey have worked 2 seasons at the Carousel Music Theatre in Maine, at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse and Mac-Hadyn Theatre, both in Upstate New York, and at the Round Barn Theatre in Indiana. 
Nicole Laurenzi  2005 Drama

Joins the national equity tour of Mamma Mia! in the role of “Tanya.” Previously, Nicole performed as “Green Girl” in Shout! The Mod Musical at Rochester’s Downstairs Cabaret Theater.

Based in LA, pursuing a film/tv career after a successful stint as Jessie Spano in "Saved by the Parody!" written and directed by actor, Ren Peterson.

Ellen Toscano 2005 Drama

Has been performing since October 2005 in Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco. Ellen is currently playing characters such as Paris Hilton, Carmen Miranda and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Ben Liebert 2006 Drama

Currently playing Boq in Wicked on Broadway. 

topLiana Stampur  2007 Drama

Appeared as the lead vocalist in Washington D.C., along with 06 Clinton Curtis and 06 Colin McAdoo, at the ACLU's “Day of Action to Restore Justice.”  They also appeared in at NYU's Skirball Center at the NYCLU's “Broadway Stands Up for Freedom!” of which Liana is the founder. Liana has continued her work with Shifting Ground Productions, a not-for-profit, non-partisan, volunteer-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing live theatrical performances to children at pediatric facilities.
