Frank P. Tomasulo was selected to be the first recipient of the University Film and Video Association's (UFVA) Teaching Award. This pedagogical honor is awarded on! the basis of a member's lifetime contributions to classroom teaching, curricular development, mentoring of colleagues and students, pedagogical publications, and organizational advancement related to teaching. The official award ceremony will take place at the UFVA annual conference at the University of New Orleans in August 2009.

Currently a VP of Distribution at Fox Searchlight Pictures, strategizes distribution plans and sales for the East and Mid-western parts of the country. Worked on such films as Little Miss Sunshine, Juno, Last King of Scotland and Waitress. Most proud of all that we accomplished in the past 6 months with Slumdog Millionaire, winning 8 out of 9 possible Oscars, including Best Picture. Since completing graduate work I have been involved with art film distribution at companies such as Orion Classics, Miramax, Sony Classics and now Fox Searchlight Pictures.

Chief Archival Film Researcher, worked recently on Pace Wildenstein Gallery's documentary "Picasso Braque and Early Film in Cubism" (2008 release scheduled) and Eric Fournier's in progress documentary, "Presidential Race".
I am pleased to announce that I have accepted a tenure track Assistant Professor of Film Studies position at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I will begin in the fall.

The video documentary "Bracero Stories" produced and directed by Patrick Mullins will be broadcast in Fall 2009 on PBS stations nationally, on Latino Public Broadcasting's "Voces" series.
